CHPC Chapel Hill Port Cask
Aged in a French Oak, Chapel Hill, Tawny Port cask, it’s a big juicy whisky, rich in flavour and remarkably balanced considering its complexity.
These casks have already made their own whisky history by winning the Best whisky in Australia and the Major Trophy for Best Small Batch Craft Spirit in Australia at the 2019 Tasting Australia Awards.
Tasting notes: on the nose, a rich selection of dried fruits spice and oak, hazelnuts, plum pudding and soft leather and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel, thick and rich with fruit and spice forward, tickling the top and central pallet, almost cream like in viscosity, a celebration on the tongue as the spice dances front to back. Finish is just superb with a chewy, a lip puckering numbing sensation that leaves the gums tingling. The length is epic with full fruits on display with a side of spiced honey, leaving a rich sweetness and tingling spice.
