MMC - Maxwell Wines Spiced Fortified Mead - Cask Strength
Now here’s a unique Australian single malt whisky from the Rochfort Distillery in South Australia.
With this Maxwell Mead Cask expression, the new-make spirit was matured in a cask that was originally a bourbon cask from Jim Beam. It was emptied in Australia and then filled with spiced fortified mead made from Maxwells Honey sitting for 48 years on the cask.
Bottled at cask strength, the original mead contained up to 18 spices, so expect a rich and complex flavour profile with plenty of spice and bite.
